All transactions, contracts, file delivery, and project agreements are made directly between clients and translators. GloGround is not involved in payments or disputes between parties.

Is GloGround free to use?

During our Early Access period, all features — including those normally available only with paid plans — are completely free. No credit card is required. The Early Access period may end without prior notice, so we recommend signing up now to take full advantage.

How do I create an account?

Click "Sign Up" and choose your role (Client or Translator). Complete the registration form, then follow the onboarding wizard to set up your profile. Clients provide company information, and translators configure language pairs, specializations, and rates.

Can I be both a client and a translator?

Each account is registered as either a Client or Translator. If you need both roles, you can create separate accounts with different email addresses.

What languages and specializations does GloGround support?

What does GloGround handle vs. what do I handle directly?

GloGround provides the matching venue — job posting, translator search, certification, messaging, and reviews. All transactions, contracts, payments, file delivery, and dispute resolution are handled directly between clients and translators. GloGround is not legally or professionally involved in any transactions or contracts between parties.

👤For Clients

How do I post a translation job?

After logging in, go to your dashboard and click "Post a Job." Specify the title, description, source/target languages, specialization, service type, content volume, budget, deadline, file formats, and assignment mode (FCFS or Bidding). Your job is immediately visible to qualified translators.

What is the difference between FCFS and Bidding mode?

In FCFS (First Come First Served) mode, the first qualified translator who accepts the job is automatically assigned. In Bidding mode, multiple translators submit applications with their proposals, and you review profiles to choose the best fit.

How do I find and evaluate translators?

Use the translator search to filter by language pair, specialization, and certification status. Review each translator's profile including GloGround Certification badges, client reviews, portfolio samples, and rates.

Can I invite a specific translator to my job?

Yes. From a translator's profile or from your job management page, you can send a direct invitation. The translator will be notified and can accept or decline. If they accept, they are assigned to your job automatically.

How does direct messaging work?

Once a translator is assigned to your job, a conversation is automatically created. You can communicate directly without any middlemen. Messages are organized by project for easy reference.

What happens after the translator delivers the work?

When the translator marks the job as completed, you will be notified to review the delivery. You can submit a review and leave feedback at any time after completion.

🌐For Translators

How do I set up my translator profile?

After registration, complete the onboarding wizard to add your language pairs, specializations, rates, bio, and portfolio. A complete profile significantly increases your visibility to clients.

How do I apply for translation jobs?

Browse available jobs from your dashboard or the job listing. For Bidding mode jobs, submit an application with your proposal. For FCFS mode jobs, click "Accept" to be immediately assigned.

How do I get GloGround Certified?

Go to the Certification section in your dashboard. Select a language pair and specialization. You will take a 20-question exam with a 60-minute time limit. Score 70% or higher to earn certification. Each certification is specific to one language pair and one specialization.

What are the benefits of GloGround Certification?

Certified translators receive a verified badge on their profile, higher visibility in client searches, and greater trust from clients. Certification demonstrates objective, test-verified competence rather than self-reported skills.

How do I keep 100% of my earnings?

GloGround charges zero transaction fees. We do not process or intermediate payments between clients and translators — payment for completed work is arranged directly between you and the client. Our revenue comes from optional subscription plans, not from taking a cut of your earnings.

Can clients invite me directly?

Yes. Clients can send you job invitations based on your profile and certifications. You will receive a notification and can accept or decline. Maintaining a complete profile and earning certifications increases the likelihood of receiving direct invitations.

🏅GloGround Certification

What does the certification exam look like?

The exam consists of 20 multiple-choice questions relevant to your selected language pair and specialization. You have 60 minutes to complete it. A minimum score of 70% (14 out of 20) is required to pass.

How many certifications can I earn?

During the Early Access period, you can take unlimited certification tests. Each certification covers one specific language pair (e.g., Korean to English) and one specialization (e.g., Legal). You can earn multiple certifications across different combinations.

What happens if I fail the certification exam?

You can retake the exam. Review the areas where you scored lower and prepare before your next attempt. There is no penalty for failing.

Do certifications expire?

Certification validity and renewal policies will be communicated as the platform matures. All certifications earned during the Early Access period remain valid.

The Early Access period may end without prior notice. We encourage you to explore all features while they are freely available. When paid plans are introduced, a free tier will remain, and early adopters may receive special benefits.
